Massimiliano Adami (b. 1969) studied design at the Istituto Statale d'Arte in Monza and at the Design Faculty of the Politecnico in Milan. Following his professional debut in 1998 he has created works for Cappellini and Meritalia as well Fendi and Design Miami's collaborative 2009 exhibition Craft Punk exhibition at the Salone del Mobile in Milan. His work has been exhibited at Moss, New York; Design Miami (2005 with Moss); Rossana Orlandi, Milan; Ottobarradieci, Bergamo, Italy; and Onepieceart, Rome.

In 2009 works from "Fossili Moderni" were included in the permanent collection of the Triennale Design Museum in Milan, following his solo exhibition "Magma Fossile" curated by Stefano Maffei.
