François Roche was born in Paris in 1961 and is a graduate of the School of Architecture of Versaille (1987). In 1989 he founded R&Sie(n) architecture studio along with architects Stephanie Lavaux and Jean Navarro. R&Sie(n) has exhibited at the Tate Modern, London, Columbia University, New York, and the Pompidou Center, Paris as well as the Venice Architectural Biennale representing France (1990, 1996 and 2000). Roche is currently teaching at the advanced research studio at Columbia University.
