Part domestic utility, part heroic sculpture, these precious hand-wrought common household objects (including fully-functional cooking pots, stools, lanterns, and coal bins) are magnified to exalted proportions, rendered in polished bronze, and placed upon aged wooden pedestals.
This suite was previewed at the 2006 Salone del Mobile in a joint exhibition between the Groninger Museum in the Netherlands and Moss. It remains one of the most important bodies of work by Studio Job and is part of several important American and International collections. This occasion Design Miami/ Basel 2008 marked its international selling debut.
Created as a suite of eight works, each is offered in a limited edition of five plus 2 AP and one additional set in the permanent collection of the Groninger Museum.
