The unveiling of Real Time caused a sensation at the 2009 Salone del Mobile. The ground breaking exhibition shattered preconceived notions of the boundaries of medium in an art form known for its emphasis on innovative use of materials. For Real Time which uses video to reshape the clock, Baas filmed a series of 12 hour movies to depict time passing.

Real Time Grandfather Clocks are the in the permanent collection of the Rijksmuseum, Amsterdam, La Maison Rouge, Paris and the Museum of Contemporary Art, Tokyo. A Real Time movie was purchased and commissioned by the Zuiderzee Museum in the Netherlands.
