Perished Pedestal and Bronze Plate

Studio Job
The two headed figure on the Perished Pedestal refers to the work's designers Nynke Tynagel and Job Job Smeets. The imagery of two heads sharing one body is an allusion to and how they together form one design team.

The edition of 6 Pedestals were paired with 6 Bronze Plates.

The edition of Bronze Plates totals 25. 19 were offered individually.

The reliefs on the Bronze Plate of modern iconography is typifies the artists' work. They singled out the symbol of the cockroach which encircle one of the inner section on the plate. This provides a connection to the fossil imagery on the larger "Perished" series. Job see it as an "ancient survivor" which refuses to "perish".
