Christopher Chiappa (b.1970), New York Conceptual artist, makes work based on the madness of personal experience. Chiappa, who began his career in New York working for Jeff Koons on the Celebration Series, works in a variety of media to highlight the psychological undertones of everyday observations.
Christopher Chiappa was born in West Chester, PA in 1970. He has held solo exhibitions at Kate Werble Gallery, NY and Fredericks Freiser Gallery, NY. His work has been included in a variety of exhibitions worldwide including the Philadelphia ICA, Western Bridge, Andrea Rosen Gallery, Modern Art, Sara Meltzer Gallery and James Cohan Gallery. He currently lives and works in Long Island City, NY.
