Maarten "smoked" this huge table for a collector in Texas 2009. The existing table was crated and shipped to Maarten's studio in the Netherlands for burning.

His work for public institutions includes The Groninger Museum (NL) where Maarten selected and burned pieces from their existing collection. Works for commercial entities include The Gramercy Park Hotel in New York who commissioned Maarten to create works for the rooms and public spaces in the hotel including a billiard table and a new original collection for Dom Ruinart to celebrate the champagne maker's 50th anniversary.
